My love for coaching started at a very young age. Over time, I realized that many professionals don’t know how recruitment & selection work, which negatively impacts their career progression. Today I host The Job Hunting Podcast and I also have a series of career services for corporate professionals. My signature coaching program is called Job Hunting Made Simple, a roadmap teaching professionals the steps and framework to make career advancement simpler and less stressful. Job Hunting as a Senior Executive - with Amber Knight (Ep 117)

Monday Jan 17, 2022
If you are a senior executive listening to this show, or you one day want to advance in your career to become a senior executive, Amber Knight's experience job hunting as a senior executive is an important one for you to listen to. In this episode, we revisit my conversation with Amber, a senior communications executive, who has worked for the BBC and The Walt Disney Company.
In March 2019, Disney purchased the film and TV assets held by 21st Century Fox for $71.3 billion. This was an enormous deal, and it reverberated down the company structure. It's expected that mergers and acquisitions will result in restructures, aka, redundancies. Amber and her team left Disney towards the end of 2019, and the pandemic prolonged her unemployment. This is a topic we discussed a few times during the last episodes of 2021, so if you are interested in learning more about long-term unemployment and how to handle it and avoid it, please listen to episodes 108 and 109.
Amber has been a huge supporter of this podcast, writing about it and praising it in her LinkedIn posts. I invited her to be a guest and share her experience, and afterward, she also participated in the 2021 Job Hunting Made Simple Online Course and Group Coaching program.
We are soon re-opening registrations for the program, and the best way to find out about it is to register for the Free Job Hunting Masterclass happening on the 1st and 2nd of February. You can find it on my website or on any social media platforms. If you are a newsletter subscriber, please check your inbox, I will have sent you details and look forward to seeing you there.
This year, the Free Job Hunting Masterclass will be huge, with critical advice and tips for corporate job hunting in 2022 and beyond. I am ambitious this year and hope to share, as always, essential information you will not find anywhere else. That's always my motto and my promise to you: I don't want to waste your time, explaining what you already know. My goal is always to make the most out of your valuable time, and share information that can be a gamechanger for your career success. I hope to see you there.
